These photos of the artist were taken when he was in his middle nineties.


The huge courtyard of the Szervánszky apartment in Damjánich utca, Budapest. The Szervánszky apartment and studio are out of site to the left of the ornate railings. The apartment consists of one corner, while the studio is in the attic and runs for the whole front width of the building.



The drawing room in Damjánich utca. Typical of the turn-of-the-century apartments buildings of the Austro-Hungarian era, the apartment is enormous with high ceilings and great ceramic heaters - now gas fired. The piano - used mainly by the artist's late wife for piano lessons - can be seen in the following pictures -
